  • Som Rong Pagoda – the largest giant reclining Buddha statue in Vietnam

09:00 AM: Som Rong Pagoda, also called Patum Wongsa Som Rong pagoda because  there are many local Som Rong trees in this area for a long time before. This pagoda was built in the 1785s following Khmer traditional architecture.

  • Discover the unique Decoration Bowl Pagoda – Sa Lon Pagoda

09:45 AM: Surprised by how clever the way they use broken pieces of the ceramic bowl to decorate all the details of the Pagoda. The mosaic style created a unique architecture of the Pagoda.

  • Clay Pagoda – skillful statues made of clay

10:30 AM: Clay Pagoda (also known as Buu Son Tu) is one of the famous pagodas in Vietnam. The pagoda has thousands of beautiful and skillful statues made of clay for 40 years. This pagoda has a Vietnamese architectural style among many pagodas having Khmer architectural style in the region.

  • Bat Pagoda

11:15 AM: The name of Pagoda was called Bat Pagoda because of hundreds of bats usually stay and live on the old trees. Especially, this pagoda is also well-known for the mystery story of Ms Five Pig (Cô Năm Hợi) and her grave inside the pagoda.

  • Explore local foods

12:00 PM: Stop at a local restaurant and try a savory noodle soup “Bún nước lèo Sóc Trăng”.

  • Kh’leang Pagoda – a mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer architecture

01:30 PM: The pagoda was built in 1533, and has an architecture nearly the same as these Pagodas in Thailand and Cambodia. It still kept the ancient beauty of Khmer architecture with highly valuable art. Some of the details decorated on the sala house or on the pillar of the pagoda showed the style of Vietnamese and Chinese.
